Benji Lewis + Trace – Never Mine | New Music
Melbourne singer-songwriter Benji Lewis has just dropped off his brand new single entitled “Never Mine” featuring the synth-pop singer Trace.
After the acclaimed success received for his latest EP Home For Now released 4 months ago, Benji hasn’t stopped himself, but instead has immediately started working on his music to make new materials.
With this single, this artist has decided to completely open up himself, telling us all the emotions he had to come through after a broken relationship. He managed to make a track, in which the meaning of his story matches perfectly with the perfect beat and mood of this electronic sounds and with Trace’s warm vocals.
“When I went into this session with TRACE and Michael Derenzo, I was in a pretty fragile state. It’s a song about realising the facts of a situation; that this person and this love isn’t what they lead you to believe. It’s about dealing with the relationship coming to end and all of the emotions that come with it“, he explains.
“The light at the end of this story? Yes it is and will be hard to move on, but that doesn’t mean you should stay in an unhealthy situation. We deserve to feel safe and to feel loved; we deserve better. We deserve someone who chooses us and puts us first. When it comes to love, I am still a believer, but it has to be right“.
Let you overwhelm by these electronic vibes listening to this painful track, which has come out today.
