South Korean boyband BTS has announced its third online concert in response to the global shutdown of live music due to the COVID-19 crisis.

The event, titled Bang Bang Con 2021, will take place this Saturday, April 17, and will offer fans free access to videos of past concerts. This will include one of their first concerts, BTS Live Trilogy: Episode I. BTS Begins, then BTS 5th Muster [Magic Shop] and BTS World Tour Love Yourself: Speak Yourself.

This is already the third event the band has offered since the beginning of the pandemic, their first live stream recorded 50.59 million views in the space of 24 hours. The screening was streamed for free on YouTube and attracted millions of viewers.

The band announced the concert online directly from Instagram with a series of posts, where the band wrote “BTS concert in your room #BANGBANGCON21 coming soon!”

The band have been able to meet the demand of their fans to see them on stage, especially after the band’s 2020 Map of the Soul tour was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic as these different online events have allowed the band to keep a connection with their fans, by allowing them to attend their concerts even virtually since live music was forced to be closed.

You can watch the virtual event on the official BTS YouTube channel BANGTANTV this Saturday, April 17
