Canadian Nigerian Pop Singer Osasioo Returns With New Single ‘Home’

Osasioo, a pop artist from Nigeria who now resides in Edmonton, has a brand-new song called “Home” with the comforting subject.

The song “Home,” which he co-wrote with his buddy and manager Femi Sobaki, conveys the exhaustion and tension of routine employment.

Osasioo sings on the challenge of dealing when everything seems to be going wrong, with pop vocals that have R&B influences.

Osasioo wanted to make a song that everyone who goes through “the business of life” can relate to.

Femi and I share very common stories-we were both born and raised in Nigeria and moved to Edmonton in 2010 to continue our education. We wrote this song at a point in our lives when we felt homesick, and exhausted from the craziness of life and the pressures we faced“, the singer says about the track.

Osasioo explains this further by adding, “In order to make the song more relatable for everyone, we constructed the lyrics to make the word “Home” feel more than just a place- Home could be a person, a thing, a glass of wine, or even a hobby“.

“Home” is Osasioo’s second single after “Gravity” in 2022, a beautiful ballad that he wanted to be “his future wedding song“.

When Osasioo, alias Osas Igbinosun, borrowed his brother’s guitar and started listening to songs on YouTube, he developed a deep love for music. He became a guitarist and singer on the worship team at his local church when he was sixteen years old. Vianney, Usher, and Ne-Yo are some of his musical influences.

His descriptive and alluring writing style draws listeners in addition to his warm, silky voice.
His music is mostly R&B with some contemporary pop influences.
