‘Coloring Book’ Is First Streaming Only Release To Chart On Billboard 200 | Music News

Coachella 2014

Chance the Rapper‘s eclectic extended play Coloring Book has set an impressive record by being the first streaming exclusive release to chart on the Billboard 200, clocking in at number 8. This was after 57.3 million streams on Apple Music alone, where it was released as a timed exclusive before it comes to other streaming services like Spotify later this month.

This is following the recent accomplishment of Kanye West’s The Life Of Pablo (which notably featured Chance and built a lot of hype for Coloring Book), which was the first number 1 album with over half of it’s units produced from streaming.
