Detroit Street Gets Named After The Eagles’ Glenn Frey | Music News
A street in Detroit will be named after Glenn Frey, The Eagles’ late guitarist and Detroit’s native who passed away last month (January 18) at 67 years old.
“I don’t think we can come up with a better tribute to one of our most famous residents,” said town mayor Jim Ellison. The street, Glenn Frey Drive, in Royal Oak, will be unveiled next Thursday (February 18) with an official ceremony.
Frey will also be honored at the Grammy Awards next week (February 15), where members of the Eagles and other artists will pay their tribute to the guitarist.
