British electro-pop singer Darla Jade has just unveiled her latest single “Slow Motion”, a single written last September during the lockdown that many people can relate to as it deals with the difficulty of being caught up in a fast-paced world, feeling under pressure to achieve goals and meet all the ideals of society.
This single is the first of a 6-track EP that will be released in the summer of 2021. The music opens with a summery vibe, reminiscent of balmy summer evenings with Darla’s voice blending in perfectly. The chorus is animated by a more electronic atmosphere, giving much more rhythm to the music. The music perfectly depicts this feeling, floating between soft verses and energetic choruses.
The UK-based artist regularly collaborates with artists such as Gorgon City and Nico de Andrea, whose latest song together “Monster” has surpassed 2 million listens on Spotify.
In addition, the singer has started 2021 on a high note – as well as a new single, she has also released a collaborative remix of her last single “Ghost In Me” with Nico De Andrea, which was supported by BBC Radio 1‘and gained popularity through Spotify’s New Music Friday UK playlist. It was also added to Black Coffee’s Track ID, with support from R3HAB‘s playlist.
