The gauntlet has been thrown down for Matt LeBlanc and Chris Evan‘s first Top Gear challenge, and it’s UK vs USA. It was previously announced in January that the former Friends star would co-host Top Gear alongside Evans; with LeBlanc saying him and his new presenting partner are “going to have a lot of fun”.
As told by comedian David Baddiel on BBC Radio 2, the pair have to reach “the Las Vegas of Britain” (a.k.a Blackpool) in Reliant Robins – “Each of you will defend your respective nation’s motoring honour in a series of suitably gruelling and potentially godawful Top Gear challenges”.
Baddiel continued, explaining live on air that their classic British transportation was outside as they spoke: “Waiting for you outside right now are a brace of British three-wheel beauties that the likes of Top Gear has never seen before. We are talking about ruthless Reliant Robins for 250 to Blackpool in Friday traffic”. Check out the patriotic images below and see Top Gear return this May.
