Halsey Releases ‘About-Face’ Make Up Brand | Fashion News

Halsey is an artist we should all know, especially those belonging to the Z generation. Halsey has earned a number one album on the Billboard 200 chart, been nominated for numerous industry awards and been named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time in the year 2020.

Her videos have featured the likes of Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf) and supermodel Cara Delevinge, but if you’ve not seen her music videos, you sure would have heard some of her music as it has featured on TV shows such as The Originals and Revenge.

Halsey has achieved so much under her belt in a short period of time. Her newest venture is her own make-up line called ‘About-Face’, which will be released on Burns night, January 25.

The collection has been made affordable to all, with every product being priced under £25. The initial collection comprises 10 product categories and products can be purchased on the AboutFace website. The brand has taken inspiration from music, fashion and art and has three distinct franchises Light Lock, Matte and Shadowstick.

Halsey has stated, “Makeup is an art and art is about happy accidents, not any one ideal of perfection. I always feel the most free when I am creating looks without following any rules. The beauty industry has norms, but I want to encourage people to challenge those standards and allow things to be imperfect and fun”.

The aspect of this brand that many will favour is that all products are vegan, clean and cruelty free.Knowing how popular Halsey is, products will sell fast. If unfortunately you’re one of the unlucky ones not to place an order in time. Don’t worry all is not lost as About-Face will drop a limited Edition matte lip range in February for Anti-Valentines day. The limited edition purpose is to bring self love to the user.

In relation to Halsey’s activism, the songwriter has participated in the likes of mental health campaign ‘I’m Listening’ and has personally donated $100,000 to Planned Parenthood, a non profit organisation that provides reproductive health care.

Halsey’s efforts did not stop there, she was one of the 27 artists who assisted in the making of “Hands”, a charity single made in tribute to the victims of the Orlando Nightclub shooting. Other artists involved were Prince Royce, Jason Derulo, Pink and Selena Gomez, who also recently launched her own cosmetic line Rarebeauty.

Knowing how much community and charitable work Halsey has done in the past, it would be of no surprise if a hefty amount of the profit from her newest make up venture would go towards much needed charities like the ones mentioned above.
