KITSCHKRIEG Announce New Album With ‘More Than That’ Featuring SwitchOTR

Berlin-based production trio, KITSCHKRIEG, has announced their new album, German Engineering 1, launching with the introspective new single, “More Than That“. The single, out via SoulForce Records, features the distinctive voice of Croydon rapper, SwitchOTR.

Following the success of their recent UK collaboration with ARZ on ‘BABY’, KITSCHKRIEG displays an impressive versatility and depth of production in their latest track. The poignant melodies form an ideal backdrop for SwitchOTR, who reflects on his experiences of hardship and personal evolution, insisting he is now worth ‘More Than That’.

KITSCHKRIEG, comprised of Fiji Kris, Fizzle, and photographer/art director °awhodat°, have been reshaping the German music landscape since their initial meeting in a flatshare in 2014.

Renowned for their minimalist approach across engineering, visuals, photography, and artwork, the trio has drawn heavily from their hometown’s vibrant electronic music scene and Soundsystem culture.

With over a billion streams to their credit, KITSCHKRIEG is celebrated for their refined sonics, striking black-and-white imagery, and popular streetwear brand. The group’s critically acclaimed debut album, released in 2020, includes two Platinum award-winning, No.1 singles, “Standard” and “Unterwegs”.

German Engineering 1 opens a new chapter for KITSCHKRIEG, featuring a diverse array of talent from the UK, Europe, and the US, including SL, Skillibeng, Nemzzz, Arz, Stefflon Don, Switch OTR, and Midas the Jagaban, as well as American artists Kali, Anti Da Menace, Dusty Locane, 2Rare, and Ken The Man.

SwitchOTR has gained recognition for his work ethic, vulnerability, and evocative storytelling. After the success of “Coming For You” featuring A1xJ1, which charted in the top 5 UK singles and gained him international recognition, SwitchOTR has continued to cultivate his unique sound, blending melodic choruses with impactful verses, keeping storytelling at the heart of his work.

With a ‘Mad About Bars’ freestyle co-signed by Kenny Allstar, and collaborations with the likes of Russ Millions, Loski, JBEE, and Bandokay under his belt, “More Than That” promises to be just a glimpse of what’s to come from KITSCHKRIEG this year.
