Michael B. Jordan Stars In Upcoming HBO Series ‘Fahrenheit 451’ | TV Trailer
The HBO adaptation of Ray Bradbury’s classic sci-fi dystopian novel Fahrenheit 451 has its first big teaser trailer. The project stars Michael B. Jordan — who’s going strong after a brilliant performance in Marvel’s Black Panther — as a fireman whose job it is to burn books. Michael Shannon (The Shape of Water, Man of Steel) plays Captain Beatty, the boss of Jordan’s Guy Montag.
In the trailer, Jordan is shown having second thoughts about his role in society after being introduced to the importance of the written word. It’s not long until he is starting to question the government which has outlawed them either.
Ramin Bahrani and Amir Naderi were cast as the writers for the adaptations and Bahrani also takes up the director’s chair the film, following up his breakthrough film 99 Homes. Despite its appearance the film has been made for television, though those in countries without access to HBO may get a theatrical release.
Fahrenheit 451 is set for release in May and also stars Sofia Boutella, Laura Harrier, Keir Dullea, Grace Lynn Kung, Martin Donovan and Jane Moffatt.
