Olivia Wilde Reveals First Look At Florence Pugh In ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ | Film News

Following the success of her directorial debut in the 2019 comedy Booksmart, Olivia Wilde has just shared a photo on Instagram unveiling the first images of her upcoming film Don’t Worry Darling.

Olivia finished her new film a few weeks ago and is now starting to promote it. The film’s plot is about a housewife living with her husband in a utopian experimental community, she begins to fear that her husband’s society is hiding some disturbing secrets.

The director chose actress Florence Pugh to play the main role of the housewife, and the husband will be played by the famous singer Harry Styles, who previously acted in the Christopher Nolan Dunkirk film.

In addition to this image from the film, Olivia Wilde wrote some words for Harry Styles and Florence Pugh: “No joke, it is harrrrrd to find actors who recognize why it might be worth it to allow for a woman to hold the spotlight. Enter: @harrystyles, our ‘Jack.

Not only did he relish the opportunity to allow for the brilliant @florencepugh to hold center stage as our ‘Alice’, but he infused every scene with a nuanced sense of humanity. He didn’t have to join our circus, but he jumped on board with humility and grace, and blew us away every day with his talent, warmth, and ability to drive backwards”.

Production started in Los Angeles in October 2020 but had suffered some delays due to Covid-19 and Warner Bros has not yet set a release date for Don’t Worry Darling, but we look forward to the announcement!
