Phil Thompson Debuts Music Video For ‘You Ransomed Me’ | Music News
Following the viral success of “My Worship” which racked up one million views within two months of its release, US worship artist Phil Thompson has unveiled the highly anticipated video for his new single “You Ransomed Me”.
The breath-taking live worship video is both atmospheric and captivating, with the audience playing an integral role in the worship experience. Phil is surrounded by his team and the congregation in a genuine time of worship in a way that causes the viewer to respond almost automatically.
This approach to his videos is very much in line with what Phil says is his calling. “That’s what I believe I was born to do. That’s my calling – to spark people to worship God”, he says about the video.
Written in 30 minutes on the back of a telephone conversation with his brother about the need for believers to place a greater emphasis on gratefulness for the sacrifice that Christ made on the cross, Phil says that “You Ransomed Me” is a song of complete appreciation for the grace of God in his life, adding “God’s grace is so real to me. Even with everything that I have been through, He took my pain and gave me purpose”.
“You Ransomed Me” will be available for download and stream on June 28, watch its accompanying music video below.
