The freshly-dropped single is produced by Mustard, the record producer also worked with the artist on his 2019 track “Ballin“. “Late At Night” comes ahead of Roddy’s highly-anticipated sophomore album, on which he plans on being more “vulnerable” and giving fans more looks into his life, according to his latest Complex cover story.

I’m going to bring fans into my world more”, Roddy explained. “I’m learning the balance. Like, OK, I’m not on Instagram, so I feel like I’ve got to bring them into my life more so they can feel me a little more.”

Directed by Director X, the accompanying surreal music video sees Ricch riding an enchanted ferris wheel.

Moreover, the credits in the outro of the clip showed us that the work serves as visual references to Michael Jackson‘s legendary “Thriller” video, which premiered nearly four decades ago. In its first 10 hours the “Late at Night” video clip has already garnered half a million views!

Roddy Ricch dropped his debut album Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial back in 2019. His more recent appearance was on tracks “4 Da Gang” featuring 42 Dugg and Lil Wayne’sStunnaman“.
