Sandra Bouza – Almost Love | New Music

Canadian singer-songwriter Sandra Bouza has shared a brand-new track “Almost Love” taken from her new album set to premiere in January next year. The single follows the artist’s recent EP called Three Years, which explores the theme of battling an addiction.

“Almost Love”, the latest offering from Toronto based R&B/ pop vocalist Sandra Bouza, is an empowering take on a break-up song. The artist sings about how we should avoid to base our self-esteem on other people’s opinions and aim to be complete and independent human beings instead.

In her remarkable haunting tracks, the Canadian singer blends her outstanding vocals with heartfelt lyrics inspired by her rich life experience. Bouza’s passion for music started very early, as she began playing keyboard at the age of ten and wrote her first song in sixth grade.

“Mom was the foundation of my musical education”, the singer remembers. “She was always singing and playing guitar and encouraging us to sing. She had a great record collection and constantly had the radio on, drilling us about who was playing and took us to concerts and musicals”.

After years of playing in coffee shops, Bouza released her debut EP back in 2010 and was labeled as a Canadian folk artist. She went on to perform with a rock band named Redbrick, but recently decided to pursue her career in music as a solo artist again.

The title of Bouza’s latest EP refers her life-changing three years of sobriety spent in Morocco. “It was a gift, and then to be able to come back to Toronto and work on these songs and recordings, that was a gift too”, the singer reveals.
