Sony Pictures Unveils Explosive Trailer For ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ | Film News

Venom 2 has finally been revealed. Sony Pictures released a trailer of this second installment entitled Venom: Let There Be Carnage, where Tom Hardy takes the lead role. And as the title suggests, superhero fans should be in for a fight.

Venom, one of Spider-Man‘s villains, was given his first feature film in 2018. Three years later, this new chapter finds reporter Eddie Brock, played by actor Tom Hardy, as he tries to come to terms with this symbiote that has taken over his body.

As this trailer shows, Michelle Williams is also back. Eddie Brock will have to fight a rival symbiote, Carnage, injected into the body of serial killer Cletus Kasady, played by Woody Harrelson.

Three years after the success of the first opus, which took in 856 million dollars in revenue worldwide, Andy Serkis succeeds Ruben Fleischer behind the camera.

The film has a screenplay by Kelly Marcel based on a story by Marcel and Hardy. It is produced by Marcel, Hardy, Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal and Hutch Parker. Barry Waldman, Jonathan Cavendish and Ruben Fleischer are executive producers. Marco Beltrami is composing the film’s music.

Originally scheduled for October 2020, the pandemic has also changed the course of events for the movie, pushing back the release date to September 24, but the film will still be released exclusively in the cinema.
