Emerging as a standout talent in the Neo-Soul, R&B, Pop, and EDM scenes, New Zealand-born, Sydney-based artist Xela is releasing her emotive new single “Waterfalls.”

With a voice that resonates with heart and soul, Xela has carved a niche for herself by collaborating with an impressive roster of international EDM artists, showcasing her versatility across different music genres.

Xela, pronounced ‘Zella,’ has been making waves in the music industry with her rich, diverse musical style. She has captivated audiences by working with renowned figures such as Drax Project and John Psathas in New Zealand and Australia, bringing her distinct sound and heartfelt songwriting to a broader audience.

Her collaborations extend across the globe, including a successful track with New York’s Lucian, Portugal’s Siraiva, Greece’s Alex Martura, and Lithuania’s Freaky DJs. Her first collaboration with Martura alone has surpassed 330,000 streams, proving her music’s international appeal.

Her remix with Vibin, supported by the German label Future House Cloud, earned spots on Spotify’s New Dance Beats and House Special playlists, further cementing her growing reputation.

Xela’s previous tracks have also garnered attention, with “Small Talk” featuring on the Fresh Hits AU NZ playlist, and her singles “Self Care” and “Soulful” receiving airplay on prominent radio stations like George FM, Mix FM, and international platforms including Amazing Radio UK/US, Music Feeds AU, and Acid Stag AUS/NZ.

“Waterfalls,” Xela’s latest offering, is a deeply personal acoustic piece that explores the vulnerability and comfort found in the presence of a trusted confidant. This romantic ballad, with its raw delivery and echoes of Charlotte Day Wilson and Adele, stems from Xela’s own experiences with loneliness and vulnerability.

Anticipation builds as Xela prepares to launch her debut EP “In The Grey.” Having headlined at Lazybones and performed at various venues across Melbourne and Sydney, she continues to engage and expand her audience.

Her forthcoming single “Waterfalls” promises to be a heartfelt addition to her discography, as she continues to explore themes of human connection with soul-stirring authenticity.
