YouTuber Zoella Joins ‘Celebrity Bake Off’ For Comic Relief | TV News

 

British blogger and Youtube sensation Zoe Sugg, better known as Zoella has landed a spot on the Comic Relief special of Great British Bake Off. she will be joined by huge celebrities such as Joanna Lumley, Jonathan Ross and Dame Edna Everage on the show to raise money for Comic Relief. The 24 year old says she was “genuinely shocked” when she found out and “very excited” to be taking part. The series will begin on February 11 and will run its course over four weeks as the celebrities will compete to be named star baker by British baking gurus Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood.

 

The conclusion to the series will be aired on Friday, March 13, in a spin off show An Extra Slice. The phenomenon that is The Great British Bake Off has proven such a success that it has been taken overseas to the US. The show has also won a National Television Award for ‘Best Skills-Based Reality Series’. Zoe will be competing against Alexa Chung, Lulu, Chris Moyles, Kayan Novak, Victoria Wood, David Mitchell, Sarah Brown, Jameela Jamil, Michael Sheen, Jennifer Saunders, Abbey Clancy and Gok Wan.
