Zoë Phillips – Numb | New Music

 

Following her BBC Introducing supported single “Give It All Up”, singer and songwriter Zoë Phillips is back with a new single titled “Numb”.

 

Beside BBC Introducing, Zoë has already achieved a good radiophonic success, thanks to her collaborations with BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 6 music, whilst remixes of her songs have been aired across BBC 1 Xtra and Kiss FM. Moreover, Zoë’s vocals and writings have been MTV Dance primetime playlisted, while her track “Learn To Swim” has reached the iTunes top 50 Singer-Songwriter chart.

 

Regarding Zoë’s new single “Numb”, the artist took inspiration from her experiences within mental health. “Numb” is also the first single of a new collection of new songs, which are inspired by her recent solo travelling trip across the world. The other singles will be featured in a forthcoming 2020 EP.

 

“Numb” is, overall, a fairly moving songs, which manages to convey the singer’s message, thanks to atmospheric guitar licks, direct and personal lyrics, and the singer’s delicate and sweet voiceprint.

 

Platinum record songwriter and producer Jack Gourlay took part in the production of the song. Furthermore, the sound and style of the track could be linked to such artists as Billie Marten and Lucy Rose.
