Joss Stone --9

Thanks to her latest reggae-inspired album Water for your Soul, singer Joss Stone has been named the reggae artist of the year, according to Billboard.

The magazine has revealed that the album has topped both the reggae album and reggae artists charts, selling more than 29,000 copies in the US.

Water for your Soul, released in July, is the singer’s seventh album and her first record since 2011; reggae artists such as Damian Marley and Dennis Bovell feature on the album.

The English singer had already worked with Marley in the 2009 supergroup SuperHeavy, which included Mick Jagger, Dave Stuart, and A. R. Rahman.
