The recently released single, “Borders”, from M.I.A.’s upcoming album, Matahdatah, finally has a music video, and as can always be expected from the Sri Lankan rapper, she is speaking out on one of the most important issues of 2015: the refugee crisis. “Borders” is a self-directed music video that shows the hazardous journey the refugees have to take in order to make it safely to Europe, while at the same time, the lyrics call out the various governments that refuse to act and help those in need.
