Matthew And The Atlas – Elijah | New Music

I have yet to hear a voice which resembles even the slightest bit of mysterious beauty which lead singer Matthew Hegarty’s whiskey-soft yet powerful voice encompasses. It’s songs like this which only act as the purest of evidence in my favour. After Matthew And The Atlas‘ delved into incorporating an electronic edge in their debut album Other Rivers they have continued this into “Elijah”. The electronic edge is subtle and never overwhelming, instead it beautifully reinforces the hauntingly raspy vocals, acoustic guitars and strings. This lamenting track yet uplifting track is hopefully just one of many track yet to come in 2016. Fingers crossed for news on album number two.

Through the generosity of the band, “Elijah” is now available worldwide today across all good music services and as a free download.
