Having a crush can mess with your head, and unrequited love can push you over the edge, if you let it. “You’re Good But I’m Better” is Danish artist Kill J‘s new release about “the crush that went stale and toxic”. It’s like looking at someone through a cloudy lens and gaining some clarity once the glass is cleaned.
The conventional pop structure is missing from most of the track, giving the ‘love song’ an entirely different guise. Alcohol seeps into the lyrics and the shifts in volume throughout give the track a slightly intoxicating vibe.
The single will officially be out on October 16 but in the meantime, listen below.
