Afrofusion artist NOVA has just released a new single titled “Can’t Complain”. This new track comes on the heels of his latest single “Precious Diamond” which he released with Toronto singer Katasha J, and which is supported by tastemakers such as Noctis Magazine, KAZI Magazine and Picky Magazine.
This time, his new track “Can’t Complain” features Nigerian alté artist and vibes maker FASINA, and the track was produced by the booming Nigerian beatsmith BeatsByDamie.
“Can’t Complain” is a glorious Afrofusion track, with lush R&B, pop and alternative afrobeats leanings, NOVA comments on his song by saying “Can’t Complain is all about a good time for everyone involved”.
Furthermore, NOVA explains a little more about his collaboration with FASINA and the history of the song by saying: “I was thinking of recording the perfect song/gbedu for a vibe session with the crew. The track was definitely inspired by the all too familiar struggle to see who controls the music when I hang out with my friends.
One thing I knew for sure is, as long as the music is banging then we can’t complain. I have been listening to Fasina since I heard ‘5 Star’ back in 2016/2017, and as soon as I recorded this, I felt he would be the perfect person to feature. So I reached out to my homie Oma Mahmud and he connected me with Fasina, and the rest is history”.
“Can’t Complain” comes as NOVA continues to advance on the release of his much anticipated fourth studio project, S.T.A.Y II.
