On the back of his show The Politician, American singer and actor Ben Platt is currently on tour and his final tour performance will be filmed live for future broadcast on Netflix, but a broadcast date and title for the special have not yet been announced.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Tony Award-winning Dear Evan Hansen star, will be filmed during his last performance of his tour, which is due to take place on September 29 at Radio City Music Hall, and it will be available later on the giant streaming platform.

“Live performance has always been my greatest love — it’s where I feel like the truest version of myself,” said Platt in a statement, adding that “I cannot wait to share my music and my stories at this iconic venue in my favorite city, and I’m thrilled that this special moment will be immortalized for a wider audience. I’m so incredibly grateful to continue working with the Netflix family”.

The concert features songs from his debut solo album Sing To Me Instead, such as “Bad Habit” or “Ease My Mind”, his brand-new track titled “Rain” and several covers from international artists.

The Emmy, Grammy and Tony winner has recently announced other projects apart from his business with Netflix. Platt also revealed he will star in the film adaptation of Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along.
