Berlin Based Artist Kingsley Q Unveils New Single Of The Year ‘Waves’

Hailing from Berlin, Kingsley Q offers his vibrant new single of the year, “Waves”.

This modern pop song seamlessly blends lively hip-hop elements reminiscent of Khalid, providing a sonic representation of Kingsley’s challenging times and his ability to find a beacon of light in the darkest of places.

The catchy chorus of the song is skillfully mastered by Emil Key, known for his work with Sira, Scooter, Harris, and Ford.

Merging pop and R&B elements with diverse genres such as urban-electronic, house, and afro, Kingsley Q crafts a distinctive sound that is uniquely his own.

Completing his vocal training at the age of fifteen at the “Academy” – a renowned stage school for performing arts – Kingsley quickly made his mark on the stage. His expressive and unique voice has been sought after, with experience as a backing vocalist for notable musicians including rapper BRKN, and songstresses Leony & Ivy Quainoo.

Kingsley’s dynamic performances have warmed the stage for a diverse range of artists, including soul singer Nneka, Ady Suleiman, JP Cooper in various German cities, Ruel, MAX, Kara Marni, JC Stewart, comedian Khalid Bounouar, and the Grammy-nominated ensemble, Tank and The Bangas.

His 2020 collaboration “There Is No Wonderwall” with Sylow & Pierre Leck, garnered significant attention, accumulating over 11 million streams on Spotify’s Editorial Playlist “Electro Chill.”

Kingsley’s discography boasts his debut EP “I Am Here,” produced by KAYROB (Sarah Connor), and collaborations with a diverse collection of artists including KHEMIS, Robin Knaak, Blactro, and R.A.H.

Currently, he is pouring his creative energy into his second EP, with “Waves” marking his first single of the year, set for release on May 26, 2023.
