DOWN4THECAUSE + Jai Musiq – Go Under | New Music

 

Down4thecause is a self-made hip hop artist who grew up in Lismore, on the NSW coast. He’s to drop his debut album “The Fifth Vital Sign“ due late 2019. And to give us a flavor, he shared on Octobre 1 his single “Go Under“ featuring Jai Musiq.

 

He’s not new in the music industry as he released his EP “Let The Music Play’“ under his former name Profecy in 2010. Its success allowed him to cross his country performing with musicians as Thundamentals, Illy and M-Phazes.

 

In 2013 he dropped ‘The Arrival’ which made him being, according to critics, one of the most promising emcees in the country; But then, that years, he was sentenced to 4 months in prison.After years outside of music, he came back with his EP “The Release“ distributed by Obese Records.

 

And he’s now working on his debut album ‘The Fifth Vital Sign’. He described it by saying it’ll include enjoyable and easy-going song, but it’ll get darker as the song continue.

 

Everyone experiences pain in different ways and my aim is to take the listener on a journey through the types of pain I’ve experienced, the trauma that I’ve dealt with and ultimately I just hope the album reduces someone’s pain along the way”.

 

But in the meantime, let’s talk about one of his album’s single titled “Go Under“ featuring Jai Musiq.
This track is a love song inspired by the sea. And this impressive conceptual lyrics deliver a poetic song.

 

As a summer anthem, it blends melodic guitar, vocals from Jai Musiq, and the vocal clarity and rhymes schemes of down4thecause. He testifies he wrote the radio-chorus while at the beach, and yes, we can feel the ocean’s vibes.There’s no doubt, down4thecause is an emerging voice from the Australian hip-hop scene.
