NOTD Team Up With Daya For ‘Wanted’ | Music News

Swedish duo NOTD have teamed up with American singer Daya for their new song “Wanted”. The energizing dancefloor-filler is a perfect combination of Daya’s signature heartfelt vocals and NOTD’s unique glittering production.

“Wanted” met with an enthusiastic response from fans, when the rising songstress joined teenagers Tobias Danielsson and Samuel Brandt on stage during their first headline show at The Roxy in LA on Wednesday last week.

Speaking about their latest collaboration, NOTD said, “We have been fans of Daya for such a long time, so it’s kind of crazy to be doing a song with her now. ‘Wanted’ is such a cool vibe and a little darker than the typical NOTD record so we are really excited to see the reaction”.

“I wrote this song around 2 years ago with Delacey and Sam Martin to just piano, and NOTD took it from there and entirely transformed it”, Daya added. “They took all the outdated parts of it and gave them new life. I’m really excited for it to be out in the world and to see how it resonates with people”.

Earlier this year, the duo have joined forces with a fellow Swede Shy Martin for another electro-pop banger, “Keep You Mine”. Apart from producing their own highly successful tracks, NOTD also remix such hitmakers as Years & Years, Ed Sheeran and Shawn Mendes.

In the meantime, Daya shared two singles taken from her upcoming album, “Insomnia” and “Left Me Yet”. Most recently, she recorded “Forward Motion” penned by Oscar-nominated Diane Warren for Late Night starring Mindy Kaling and Emma Thompson. The young singer also accompanied Carly Rae Jepsen on her 2019 Dedicated Tour.
