In November 2020, singer Dua Lipa officially announced that she was the new face of the Puma brand. Six months later, the first images of the campaign have been unveiled.
The pop star is promoting the release of a new pair of trainers called the ‘Mayze’. The trainers come with very thick creeper sole, with of course, the characteristic Puma stripes and logo.
“The Mayze is the perfect fit, it works for me on stage and off”, Lipa said in a press release about the trailers, “The classic stacked sole is so versatile, I can work it into any look”.
As for Puma, they say the Mayze is “made for those who embrace the spotlight, on stage and off,” which is a perfect fit for Dua Lipa. For this model, the brand says it was inspired by a mix of “archive inspirations and contemporary PUMA classics”.
The campaign images for the trainers shows the pop star in a stairwell with a gust of wind and of course the black shoes that are featured in the set. The singer also shared on her Instagram another picture of her in fishnet tights and with the Mayze on her feet but in white this time.
The trainers are also part of PUMA’s ‘She Moves Us’ movement, which celebrates women who advance culture and sport, and is fronted by Dua Lipa as well as Cara Delevingne, Skylar Diggins-Smith and Lexi Thompson.
The shoe, which comes in three colors, will be available from April 16 for $90.
