‘Ebb And Flow’ From Portland Band LDW Is Out Now | Music News

Portland band LDW have released their new single “Ebb And Flow” on March 13, 2020 with a video! Their first album Movement In A Spirited Manner is going to be released this summer, accompanied by a tour.

The LDW group are known for their energetic and danceable performances. They are punctuated by dance, funky and electric grooves, improvisations and even choreography.

The members of the band came together in 2013, with a common love for the music of Talking Heads and the film Stop Making Sense, which is a documentary film of a Talking Heads concert. They started making music together inspired by that movie and that funkiness era.

Their album Movement In A Spirited Manner was therefore very much inspired by David Byrne‘s music. They named it like this because it represents the excitement and movement of their fans.

Their single “Ebb And Flow” is accompanied by a video with the lyrics and full of colors. This video was made by watercolorist Dave Long, known for his work on the film Dark Crystal and the Mystery Science Theatre.

For now, their next three concert dates will be April 18 at the Nectar Lounge in Seattle, June 13 at Reed College in Portland and September 24 at the OMSI Planetarium in Portland. If you’re around, don’t miss them!
