East London’s Kojey Radical has launched the visuals for his new single “2020”, which teases his upcoming project Cashmere Tears that is set to be released on September 13.
Directed by long-standing creative Charlie Di Placido, the stunning visuals make the single “2020” more provocative and powerful. The music video continues from the “Can’t Go Back” story, bringing the audience back into Kojey’s inner thoughts. “2020” brings another colourful view of the young rapper’s world and the approach to his artistry.
“It’s almost time for everyone to hear/see and feel what’s been inside my mind for the last couple years. This visual is a 20/20 glimpse into the joy I learned to find in my anxiety. The pride I feel in my heritage and the defiance that exists within all of us. September 13th I will show everyone that joy and pain can feel as luxurious as cashmere. Never stop feeling out loud”, said the rapper.
Kojey Radical also confirmed his FOR YOU September headline tour, where he will play a series of intimate shows across the country, including SCALA (London), where the tickets sold out in less than 10 minutes.
Radical’s new album is poised to be one of the standout project of 2019 so far.
