KWAYE – I Go | Music Video

Having spent much of 2018 so far in the studio and January and February primarily recording in LA – developing an affinity for the city after studying at UCLA – British-Zimbabwean artist KWAYE gives us a taste of what is to expect as he delivers the brand new video for his latest single “I Go“.

An upbeat, rhythm-led summer jam with RnB and dancehall influences, the song “tells two sides of a relationship that becomes divided by distance,” says KWAYE. “It was inspired by my first trip from London to LA – leaving everything I knew behind, but feeling excited in the of anticipation of things to come.”

Reflecting this feeling of uninhibited optimism, the video was filmed in a moment of spontaneity using a handheld camera. It’s incredibly free spirited, organic and care free. Shot in Kings Cross, KWAYE is seen singing to the camera and just having a lot of fun.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2017, KWAYE has gone from strength to strength, garnering early support from FADER , Billboard & Noisey and amassing 10 million collective streams on the way, thanks in part to strong singles like “Sweetest Life“. KWAYE returns with the track “I Go”, taken from his upcoming and hotly-anticipated longer project, due this summer.
