Netflix To Double Original Content | TV News
From Orange is the New Black to Master of None, Netflix has been more than a steaming service for quite some time, considering it has developed some of the best loved programmes over the past two years. Now, it looks like they’re aiming to go above and beyond, for head of content Ted Sarandos has announced plans to double the amount of original content available next year. Currently, there are 16 original series broadcasted on Netflix, a number that is set to increase to 31.
Speaking at the UBS Media Conference in New York City, Sarandos confirmed the increase and also announced future releases that are already in production and post-production: “We’ll have about 16 original scripted series this year growing to 31 next year. We have 10 feature films in production or post-production and we have 30 kids series”. Are you excited for more Netflix original creations?
