New Elle Baez Single ‘Mister Possessive’ Testifies Against Toxic Relationships

Elle Baez‘s new single, “Mister Possessive” is an anthem of female empowerment that gives back autonomy and control to all women who have found themselves in toxic relationships.

The track written (Elle Baez, Emma Wang, Sarah Vela) and produced (Tiger Darrow and Emma Wang) by women follows Elle on her journey to no longer allow a man to “watch every step she takes and every move she makes” with a mix of vintage soundscapes, Santana guitars and futuristic synths.

In the track’s catchy lyrics, Elle writes a farewell letter to the bossy “Mister Possessive” and moves on to bigger and better things. She says, “This song is for anyone who felt they couldn’t take their power back from someone who had exhausted it. You can and you will. You are stronger than you think”.

Following the release of her debut EP Bold Soul to acclaim from the likes of Euphoria’s Best Songs of 2021 (alongside Lil Nas X, Kacey Musgraves, Billie Eilish and TSwift), LADYGUNN, Flaunt Magazine, The New Nine, Sweetyhigh and more, Elle has quickly become a voice for women everywhere with her raw pop-soul vocals portraying a vulnerable portrait of her life.

The artist empowers and inspires others with her captivating hooks, versatile writing style and self-love motto that she also spreads with her viral Tiktoks (43.8,000 followers). Her philosophy is simple: be yourself, be sexy, and most importantly, be confident. She blends her advocacy and storytelling with rich soundscapes that use elements of pop, Latin, r&b, jazz and funk to create a sound that is uniquely her own.
