In between opening for Justin Bieber on tour, Post Malone releases the follow-up, “Go Flex”, to his breakout smash, “White Iverson”. The Charlie Handsome-produced song is set to appear on Malone’s upcoming debut. According to Post, the album will be a mix of styles, including folk, country, and hip-hop.
“Go Flex” opens with earnest, strummed acoustic guitar. There is a touch of reverb on the vocals to give it that big sound. Rattling drums come in, amidst bottomless bass. A middle section of sort appears, like digressing from everyday life, before fading out with just himself and his guitar.
In the video clip, produced by James Defina and Chris Velona, the Dallas singer-rapper strums his guitar, shows off his gold teeth and chains, and looks moody smoking a cigarette. At one point he also brandishes a spiked gold baseball bat.
