Queens Rapper Anik Khan Taps Jay Prince For Hot New Drop ‘Lingo’ | Music News

Shaking up the year with hot releases and freestyles and timely PBS documentary Street Level, all round creative force Anik Khan shares his latest release “Lingo” featuring UK rapper and producer Jay Prince.

An unashamed Bangladeshi immigrant kid who boldly wears his culture like a badge of honour, “Lingo” takes a more playful approach on the topic of language and his own realities. Recruiting Jay Prince for a feel-good jam that sounds as Queens as it does East London.

The Priya Minhas directed video explores the phenomenon of South Asian children winning Spelling Bee tournaments in the U.S, with a young Bijoy Khan rising to the top of the competition – a nod to the children of immigrants who master a language that isn’t always their first and then go on to create new dialects of their own.

With his wordplay and creativity catching the attention of the likes of THE FADER, FORBES, BILLBOARD and VICE, all eyes are on the unique talent as he continues to write his own narrative on what a legendary artist of today should be.
