Simone Rocha Reveals Full Lookbook For H&M Collaboration | Fashion News

Irish designer Simone Rocha is known to be inspired by the pre-20th century period and its very romantic and girlish aesthetic. For her very first collaboration with the Swedish brand H&M, Rocha designs clothes for the whole family, inspired by these old collections.

Regarding her choice to create clothes for women as well as men and children, here is what the designer told British Vogue “If I was going to share my brand identity and signatures, I wanted to do it for everyone”.

Speaking of brand identity and signature, the Simone x Rocha collection will be shaped by the designer’s multicultural identity, incorporating Hong Kong traditions and craftsmanship as well as references to iconic moments in the history of art.

“We see glimmers of Tudor courtiers, wild florals, portraits and photographs, dolls and trinkets. There is tartan, beading, florals, pinks, reds, and bespoke fabrications, developed in house, exclusively for this collaboration” confided the Swedish brand in a press conference. It is also a first for the brand to collaborate with an Irish designer.

If you’ve always dreamed of wearing some Simone Rocha tulle poofy, this is your chance. The Simone Rocha x H&M collection will be available from March 11 in the shop and online.
