The Internet – La Di Da | New Music

The countdown is on! With less than a week to go till The Internet‘s brand new album Hive Mind, a follow up to 2016’s critically acclaimed Ego Death, the band has slid some new music our way to appease our appetite for the time being. And there’s no doubt about it, “La Di Da” is a surefire summer swing.

The ridiculously groovy new single is preceded by singles “Roll (Burbank Funk)” and “Come Over“. We have both Syd (as always) as well as Steve Lacy‘s vocals effortlessly intertwined with the jazzy/blues kind of production (the guitar riffs bring the funk to full effect) but with a somewhat salsa-like flair which makes it the perfect song to perk up your mood.

Speaking on the meaning of their newest project, keyboardist Matt Martians explained: “A hive mind is a collective ego. When people are together they have a collective mindset. When we’re together, we all have a common goal and we move in the same direction. The actual internet is a hive mind, too.”
