Tim Cook Claims ‘Millions And Millions’ Have Subscribed To Apple Music | Music News

CEO of Apple, Tim Cook has commented that Apple Music has gained “millions and millions” of subscribers since its launch last month. Cook has said that the number of subscribers to its new music streaming service is growing “substantially every day” in its Q3 earnings report. The report did not reveal the exact number of subscribers the service has accrued, disclosing only that the figure is in the millions.

Apple’s music streaming service, which launched on June 30, has offered subscribers a three-month free trial on joining. Questions remain over the popularity of the service, when the trial period comes to an end. The monthly membership costs £9.99, the same price as rival service Spotify. Cook has also gotten 15,000 artists to use Apple Music’s ‘Connect’ feature to share updates with users, including unreleased music and videos, Drake recently premiered the music video to his If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late mixtape track “Energy” through the streaming service.
