Vance Joy Announces European Tour For March 2018 | Music News

The romantic Aussie singer-songwriter Vance Joy (real name James Keogh) has today announced his European tour in March 2018.

The tour is starting on March 6 in Leeds and concluding in Manchester on March 25, with a total of 13 concerts across Europe includes a show in London’s Brixton Academy on March 7. Originally scheduled to take place in a smaller venue in London, the show has reached an unexpected demand.

Besides the news about the tour, Vance has also revealed the title of his upcoming album. Nation Of Two is expected to be released in February 2018. He describes the album, saying:

Nation Of Two describes a perfectly self-contained couple; their world beginning and ending at the bed they share, the car they ride in, or any other place where they’re together… the idea that their love for each other gives them their bearings; a point of reference that makes sense of life.

On Thursday, he also released the second single of the album, called “Like Gold”, following a very successful single “Lay It On Me”, which is now the best-selling homegrown track in Australia.

The musician became famous after the release of his debut studio album Dream Your Life Away in 2014 when ballads like “Riptide”, “Mess Is Mine”, “Georgia” and “Fire and the Flood” went platinum one or multiple times in Australia. “Riptide” also peaked on Billboard’s ‘Alternative Songs‘ chart.

This led to Taylor Swift inviting Vance to become the main support act for her global tour in 2015, where he had a chance to perform to over 2 million people across 85 dates and we could definitely call that a success.

The romantic curly-hair singer doesn’t seem to be affected by the fame and stays very natural and honest. “I wrote ‘Like Gold’ after coming off the road at the start of 2016. It started with a simple melody I was humming and the idea of looking back at a relationship”, says Vance about his newest track. He stays loyal to the alternative folk genre, keeps playing ukulele and producing very mellow and nostalgic songs.

Tickets for the tour will go on sale at 9am GMT on Friday, November 10 so stay tuned for more news on the official website.
