Wyvern Lingo – Snow II | New Music
Wyvern Lingo, a girl trio from Ireland, have recently released a smooth and christmassy song titled “Snow II“, which was originally recorded in 2014.
The lead singer on the track, Caoimhe Barry, said: “Snow II is partly written as a response to Simon and Garfunkel‘s ‘I Am A Rock‘. It’s from the perspective of the person trying to reach an ex lover who is in that dark place, cutting themselves off from the world”.
“It’s about wanting to comfort them, but you can’t speak to them or hold them like you might have when you were in a relationship, and how sad and confusing that is”.
Acoustic guitar sounds blend well with some electronic motifs, while three silky voices bring us a pure and fresh harmony. Caoimhe Barry, Karen Cowley and Saoirse Duane have been friends since school days and how consonant they sound together gives us shivers.
The highly anticipated Wyvern Lingo’s debut album is set to be release early next year. Listen to the beautiful “Snow II” below:
