Damon Albarn Covers The Clash At Roskilde Festival | Music News

Damon Albarn performed a 5-hour set with the Africa Express Project at Roskilde festival in Denmark. The performance included a cover of The Clash’s “Should I stay Or Should I Go” which he performed with Songhoy Blues, Nick Zinner, Jeff Wootton, and Seye Adelekan. After his marathon set, which ended around 4am, Albarn was told he had to stop, instead, he encouraged the audience to keep cheering so that he could continue to perform. The crowd carried on cheering to the extent where security had to come and carry Albarn of stage. Africa Express is an organisation that brings together musicians from multiple cultures, continents and genres and usually put on concerts in Europe and Africa. You can watch Albarn’s “Should I Stay or Should I Go” as well as him being carried off stage below.

My name is kira and I study Media and Communications. I live in the beautiful and wonderfully diverse city of Brighton. I've loved writing since a young child when I would write poems about my goldfish and leaves I found on the floor. (I'm hoping my writing style has slightly progressed since then!) I love listening to live music and try to go to as many gigs as possible. Follow my social media if you want to know more!
