Zane Lowe has premiered a new FKA Twigs track on Beats 1 titled “Figure 8”. The song is very typical of FKA Twigs’ aesthetic and in a brief interview with Lowe on the radio show, Twigs explained that she wrote the song a few months after finishing her debut album, LP1. She also discussed how overwhelmed she was by her sudden success, so she started to learn how to vogue in New York City as a way to “stay sane“. The dancing also ended up inspiring her songwriting as well.
