It was only in February when Saba made his return with the striking, inward-gazing new song called “Busy“, showing a level of growth for the Chicago artist since his Bucket List Project album in 2016. Shortly after, he announced that the follow-up, Care For Me, which will arrive on April 5 and has features from the likes of Chance The Rapper, theMIND, and Kaina.
Now, Saba gives us “LIFE“, the second taste of his forthcoming 10-song project and it’s another introspective track, as the title suggests, that sees him exploring his anxieties and the poignant subject of death.
Courtesy of the trio of Daoud, daedaePIVOT, and himself once again, Saba is vulnerable but is ready to face his fears and ultimately find his release. It’s typical smooth Saba with a rock-esque edge. Saba wears his pain on his sleeve and it’s powerful and moving.
Care For Me is set to be his most personal project yet so we anticipate nothing short of greatness from the Chi-town native. Peep the new track below.
