British Indie Band Sarpa Salpa Return With New Single ‘Somebody’

Sarpa Salpa is a 4-piece UK indie band made up of Marcus Marooth on vocals and guitar, George Neath on guitar, Meg Amirghiasvand on bass guitar and Charlie Doe on drums, and “Somebody” is their new single to open up their 2022.

They were formed in 2016 and their influences spanning the gamut of indie, pop and rock music. The four friends are able to create a sound that is uniquely their own, and has won them a loyal fanbase across the UK and beyond. They come supported by the likes of BBC Radio 1, Amazing Radio and BBC 6 Music, with singles such as “Casanova”, “Say Something”, “Forwards Backwards”, “Stick To What You Know” and “Another Life”.

On the back of their new single “Somebody” and a recent sold-out UK tour, Sarpa Salpa are heading to SXSW in February for their US debut, with a huge catalogue of radio-ready indie pop tracks set to be rolled out through the course of the year. Having hit the one million streams mark on Spotify, we looking forward to hearing more from the indie band.

Speaking about their new single, the band say, “This is honestly one of our favourite songs we’ve written and it means a heck of a lot to us! It seemed to go down really well on our tour last year so we hope you like the recorded version even more“.
