Following the recent smash “Can’t Stop Me Now”, the gem of several global Spotify editorial playlists, West-London’s Nasa Woods continues his musical pursuit with his new single “F.R.I.E.N.D.S”.
Woods continues to create his lane with the bass heavy, polished production on “F.R.I.E.N.D.S” acting as the perfect foundation for his rap-sung vocals. It’s dynamic textures make this track a standout. Written alongside ex-JLS member Oritse Williams, we get a raw, infectious jam that’s bound to continue the intrigue around the innovative new artist.
Speaking on the track, Nasa states: “It was written during a time I started dating a new girl I had just met; I didn’t want to be in a situation where I was going to being taken for granted, especially when it was involving someone else ‘the friend’. It was my way of smiling and walking away rather than causing unnecessary drama.”
Woods has developed a steadily growing fanbase from making covers of popular hits but now it’s time for original music. Still just a few songs deep, the London artist is already being compared to the likes of Zayn Malik and The Weeknd. Undoubtedly a name to keep in the “Ones to Watch” list, get ready to hear plenty more of Nasa Woods he continues to define himself in 2019.
