Fresh from receiving a mixed reaction to his live hosting skills on the X Factor, Olly Murs looks like he’s heading back to basics to concentrate on his music career for now. In an interview with The Sun, Murs shared his plans to follow in the footsteps of fellow crooners Michael Buble and Robbie Williams by releasing his own album of swing hits.
Olly’s ambitions don’t stop there, though – he wants to take the show on the road, with a night to remember at the Royal Albert Hall. He’s hoping that Buble, Williams and even Gary Barlow will get on board to recreate the Rat Pack for 2016. The original Rat Pack featured Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr, so these are some huge shoes to fill. But cheeky chappy Olly isn’t short on confidence, so this might just work.
