The Grateful Dead Reunite For 50th Anniversary Farewell Shows | Music News
The Grateful Dead announced that they will get together for the last time in celebration of their 50th Anniversary. Deadheads will have the chance to see them for three shows from July 3 to July 5 at Soldier Field in Chicago. Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh and Bob Weir will be joined by Phish’s Trey Anastasio for the three-date residency. Keyboardists Bruce Hornsby, who played with the Dead from 1988 to 1995, and Jeff Chimenti will also be on stage. The Grateful Dead’s last performance was on July 9, 1995 at the same venue, a month before Jerry Garcia died.
