Experimental prog-funk band Primus has come up with an interesting concept, one that surprisingly hasn’t been explored to a large extent. Imagine the music from your favourite childhood movie transforming into a dark twisted theatrical mash of experimental sounds and you get Primus & The Chocolate Factory.
The album will be the first since 1995, that features drummer Tim “Herb” Alexander, and was inspired by Les Claypool’s fascination with Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. The latest release “Golden Ticket” almost makes the hairs on the back of your neck stick up, with its warped guitar, eerie chimes and deep bass. It’s definitely worth a listen if you want that Golden Ticket… The album is due for release on October 21.
